God lovingly gives each person special gifts with which to serve Him and His people. Through the various organizations and committees within Christ Lutheran, our congregational members are welcomed and encouraged to invest their time and talents to serve where they feel called. If you feel the “call” to serve, contact our church secretary.
Activities Committee:This group was formed in 1997 with a small group of women for the purpose of planning the first Annual Father/Daughter Valentine Ball. Their past activities have included the Men's Fellowship Feast, Sweetheart Ball, and the church picnics. The group currently consists of two chairpersons, a treasurer, and many volunteers from our church, both male and female, who share in a vision that promotes Christian fellowship and outreach to our community. This group provides a wonderful opportunity for you to be creative and supportive of our Christian missions. Sewing Group:If you like to sew, this is the group for you! Armed with donated old and new material (requiring pressing, cutting, and fitting of pieces), this group lovingly turns what was once scraps of cloth into quilts and lap robes. These are then given to local charities such as the Battered Women's Shelter, Salvation Army, and Viewcrest Nursing Home. Young or old, you are always welcome to come work with them and enjoy their company on the 2nd and 4th Monday at 9:00 a.m. during the months of September through May. Sunshine Group:This group is just like it sounds: spreading warmth and sunshine to all through the wonderful smells emanating from the kitchen! They not only get together at Christmas time to make and sell Spritz cookies, they also make home made pasties many times during the year. They are always looking for volunteers to help cut vegetables or sprinkle sugar! Thanks to their fundraising efforts, many of our church projects have been completed. Bible Study (general): Bible study is held on Sunday mornings immediately following the coffee hour, and on Wednesday evenings beginning at 7:00. Both sessions are held in the Fellowship Hall and take place during the regular school year. Membership classes are also offered for those who would like to become members and who are coming from a non-Lutheran background.Home · About · Ministries · Schedule · Download · News · Contact |
