 Helping Hands Ministry A helping hand and a willing heart go a long way. Many of our brothers and sisters could be blessed by a sacrifice of our time and energy. To that end, we here at Christ Lutheran are willing to assist anyone who might need help with a small household project. Examples include the moving of furniture or the hanging of pictures. Some projects simply need some light lifting, while others may require some skill. If you are looking for a Helping Hand please contact one of the members below:
REMINDER: Pledge Forms This is the time of year when we finalize the annual budget. While we wish to assure you that whatever financial support you offer is appreciated, we also hope that you will consider making a pledge. A pledge is not a legal obligation, but states our current intentions about our offerings for the coming year and can be changed at any time. Please keep in mind that your pledge information will be kept confidential. We hope you will prayerfully consider making a pledge. Please contact Carol Ziemer. North Plains Regional Convention! Christ Lutheran Church will be the host of this year's regional convention which will be held October 10-11. This convention is made up of delegates from various AALC churches that come from as far as Laurel, Montana. During their time here they will be discussing business and financial concerns for the regional churches and planning for the future. The CLC Council is already making plans from working on an Agenda to Accommodations to Activities. However, we could use your help in housing some of the delegates. If you think you could open your heart and your home to provide housing, please contact one of the Council members. If you would like to help in some other way, we would be more than happy to have you! Project Timothy Pastor Aadland has told us that "Africa is calling for our help. We can answer them." The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya is a fellow member with the AALC in the International Lutheran Council. The Christian church in Africa is challeneged by Islam and sectarianism. The ELCK has only 11- pastors for 450 congregations. Presiding Bishop Walter Obare said to Pastor Aadland, "You must ask your church to send you to us to teach in our seminary in Kenya." An official letter of invitation arrived. There is a brochure explaining Project Timothy--Kenya. Donations may be made payable to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and noted for Project Timothy. We extend a warm welcome to our newest members of Christ Lutheran Church: The first Sunday of the month is Food Shelf Sunday. Please help us fill the shelves, so we can help those in need.
