The Dorcas circle meets on the second Thursday of the month at 1:30 in the Fellowship Hall. The meeting begins with a Bible study, followed by a business session and frequently a short program. The meeting concludes with coffee, snacks and fellowship. They are always looking for new members to enrich their group.
They meet at 7:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month and begin with a half hour of social time followed by a vocal Bible study session, devotions, and business meeting. If you have a green (or brown) thumb, or just like an active discussion, these women would love to have you join them.
The circle meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month. They begin each meeting with prayer and devotions followed by Bible study, refreshments and a brief business meeting. They always welcome new members.
This group of ladies prefers to venture out during the day as they meet on the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Their meeting begins with coffee, goodies, and fellowship, followed by a Bible study and business meeting. Dorcas Circle:The Dorcas Circle helps in many ways.
They serve refreshments to the Viewcrest Nursing Home residents, sent plants to former
congregational members in nursing homes at Easter, and decorate the sanctuary with
lilies. They also take part in serving coffee after funerals with the Mary Circle, as
well as taking turns providing and serving refreshments during fellowship time on
Sunday mornings. They contribute to several different mission projects and host a
Mother's Day banquet each May.
Esther Circle:This is an active group of mid-generation women who enjoy keeping
busy and having fun. They beautify the church grounds by planting and maintaining the
gardens each year and assist with the church picnics. They also decorate the church
at Christmas time and coordinate the Sharing Hearts program of providing the residents
of Viewcrest Nursing Home with gifts at Christmas, as well as taking turns providing
and serving refreshments during fellowship time on Sunday mornings.
Hannah Circle:The Hannah Circle is our newest circle. The members chose the
name Hannah because of her strong belief in the power of prayer. The Hannah Circle's
primary focus is on the youth of our congregation and all of their activities center
around the youth. They make baptism banners for all the children baptized at Christ
Lutheran Church, bring the Sunday School children to Viewcrest Nursing Home for
singing at Christmas, co-ordinate the Children's Christmas program and assist with
the serving of refreshments during fellowship time on Sunday mornings.
Mary Circle:These ladies repair and maintain the sewing machines for the sewing
group. They also alternate with the Dorcas Circle in serving for funerals and take
their turn for serving coffee during fellowship time on Sunday mornings. They donate
to the church library and other various community activities.
